Delighted to report — and I don’t write short stories — that a story by my alter ego, John Farrow — who does not write short stories, either, and if he did write one it would be a crime story — will be published in Exile (one of the next two issues/43.2 or 43.3), courtesy of Barry and Michael Callaghan, editors. So a short story by me is exceedingly rare and publishing a crime short story in the highest level of literary quarterly, by John Farrow, is more rare still. Tickled pretty damn pink.
