EXILE Quarterly in the Classroom
Literature and art in the hands of students and educators.

The 2020 goal: 1,000 students participate across the country.

We want students who have an interest in literature, creative writing, and visual arts, to have access to all of the exceptional works that appear in our pages. We want them to embrace new ways of looking at the world, and to discover new ways of appreciating people. We want to encourage discussions about individuality, differences, acceptance, and inclusion. And, we can do this through making available to high school and post-secondary school students a publication that is like no other.

In this amazing age of at-your-fingertips digital technology, where everything is just a tap or swipe away, younger people engage more and more with creative content that does not allow them to appreciate what’s “real” through things like a live performance, or a painting on canvas in a gallery, or even words and art on a page, like what we do in EXILE Quarterly.

Let’s put EXILE into the hands of one thousand educators and students across the country! Your support is crucial to this initiative. Please consider making a general donation to the Excelsis Mission: Donate – or if you prefer to make a contribution specific to this program, or to become a primary sponsor of EXILE in the Classroom, please email us at: admin@theexcelsisgroup.org for details.

How do we reach 1,000? We are starting with the Toronto District School Board, and working with the organization Extra Ed (website: extraed.ca ). With an average class size of 25, we can provide 40 classes with the magazine. Achieving this goal will make 2020/year one a great success, and from this starting point we will grow our reach exponentially!

This initiative will also be connected to our Next Generation program that collaborates with elementary and high schools, colleges and universities, to introduce soon-to-be young professionals to traditional and digital publishing, online media, and non-profit initiatives.
